Commis Chef, x 2 - Clachaig Inn, Lochaber

The Clachaig Inn is a multiple award winning Inn set right in the heart of Glencoe surrounded by towering mountains.

Our reputation for food has been growing rapidly for a number of years and now rivals its reputation for great beer. With a turnover to put some city centre restaurants to shame, joining our catering team will give you a unique insight into an extremely busy and successful food trade.

We are looking for 2 commie chefs to join our dynamic kitchen team. We have one of the busiest if the not the busiest kitchens in Lochaber, in the summer months we can push out 300+ covers most nights getting close to 400 covers on a Saturday. On top of our all-day menu, we allow our chefs to get creative on the special board so you’ll get plenty of opportunity to show what you are capable of.

As a company we believe in good honest food produced in a good honest way. We don’t see the need to use strange French terminology, but we do see the need to set and meet high standards.

So you will need to be a hard worker who is passionate about working with food, someone who wants to come in to learn and develop their skills.

This role will involve everything from breakfast service, prepping for the day to being on the pass. You will also be responsible for maintaining records and following HACCP procedures.

Positions can be permanent or seasonal
