Job description:

Fonab Castle Hotel is a 42 bedroom 3 AA Rosette 5 star Hotel situated in Pitlochry in Perthshire.

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Pastry to join our highly successful Team. Based in modern and contemporary surroundings you will be required to contribute to the hotel’s success. You should have a warm, personable nature, can do attitude and eye for details.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Pastry Chef to work with a fantastic kitchen brigade to deliver outstanding quality food throughout our busy operation. The role will actively promote Team member involvement and understanding of food as part of the resorts culture.
There is a friendly stable team working to a high standard in a well-equipped kitchen using fantastic local produce including herbs grown in our own garden.

Key Accountabilities
The Pastry Chef positions are integral part to the kitchen operation the key tasks you can expect to be involved in are:
• To maintain levels of service that consistently exceeds the expectations of our guests.
• To be a real Team Player and work to build strong working relationships.
• To ensure knowledge of product, client relationships and service is maintained and communicated
• To ensure effective daily communication within all areas of the Food & Beverage Operation
• To be aware of the security of stock, access, and keys at all times.
• To always avoid wastage, and ensure food is stored securely and safely.

About your skills
• Previous experience in a similar role, a minimum of 4-5 years
• Outstanding hygiene skills and a certificate in elementary food hygiene.
• The ability to work well under pressure
• Exceptional communication skills
• Self-Motivated
