Chef de Partie Pastry
We are looking for a creative and experienced Chef de Partie Pastry to join our talented team of Chefs.
This is a full-time position based on an average 40 hours a week. Availability to work evenings and weekends is essential. Competitive annual salary from £25k, based on experience.
In this role of Chef de Partie Pastry you will be responsible for producing high quality desserts, breads, petit fours and all other manner of pastries for the restaurant and hotel. This is a great opportunity to lead the pastry section of the Kitchen team and further your all-round culinary knowledge. Your Main Responsibilities:
• Bring delicious, creative and bespoke creations to our guests
• Be responsible for creating and producing our popular Afternoon Tea menu and the desserts served in our fine dining restaurant
• Communicate effectively with all Kitchen and F&B team members to ensure a smooth service and highest quality presentation being served to our guests
• Share and present your ideas for new creations and dishes
• Support our talented team of chefs The kind of person we are looking for:
• You have previous experience working as part of a fast-moving, quality driven, culinary team in the pastry section
• You have a passion for all things pastry and delivering high standards for our guests
• You have a good eye for detail and demonstrate pride in your work
• You are enthusiastic and have a positive personality with the ability to build genuine and trusting relationships within a team Where will you be working?
SCHLOSS Roxburghe is an exceptional country house estate with a Championship Golf Course and a range of outdoor activities, nestled in the beautiful Scottish Borders but little more than an hour's drive from both Edinburgh and Newcastle. The elegant property includes 20 bedrooms and suites and the cuisine is top quality and varied, with an emphasis on fresh, home-grown produce.
Formerly owned by the Duke of Roxburghe, the hotel, golf club and grounds are undergoing an extensive refurbishment, building a separate extension to feature 58 additional rooms as well as a luxurious spa, a state-of-the-art meeting space and 60 lodges will be built on the surrounding estate. With the hotel and estate growing there will be many opportunities for growth and development throughout 2022!
