Set against the stunning backdrop of the Solway Firth, Powfoot Golf Club offers a unique blend of links and parkland golf in one of Scotland’s most picturesque settings. We are currently seeking a Caterer / Bar Steward to lead our hospitality offering and provide a warm, welcoming experience to members and visitors alike.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual or a couple with a passion for food, service, and community to take the reins of a busy rural golf club’s catering and bar operations.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking candidates who can demonstrate:
• A proven track record in catering, with the ability to plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality meals for club events, daily service, and visiting parties
• Experience in bar service and cellar management, with up-to-date licensing knowledge
• Strong customer service and communication skills, with a friendly and professional approach
• Ability to work collaboratively with club management and contribute to the club’s welcoming atmosphere
• Health & Safety and Food Hygiene certification, with a solid understanding of compliance and best practices

This popular truck stop Diner is looking for two friendly cooks to join the team. The business has reached a point where they're keen to ease the pressure on existing staff by adding enthusiastic and flexible cooks to their team.

You'll be responsible for cooking Infront of customers on the grill, or in the back kitchen where batch prep is done.

The menus are simple but utilise good quality fresh ingredients to deliver tasty and hearty meals.

There will be a mixture of shifts available, and the owner's keen to stress that every hour is paid and hours will be always be available to those that want them, but an ideal candidate will receive between 40 and 50.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cook to prepare delicious, high-quality meals in accordance with our recipes, standards, and health regulations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation in compliance with health and safety regulations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, equipment, and work areas
• Monitor food inventory and report shortages or ordering needs to management
• Assist in menu planning, food costing, and portion control when required
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding food preparation and safety
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Cook, Line Cook, or in a similar role
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety regulations
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Team player with good communication abilities
• Culinary school diploma or relevant certification (preferred but not required)
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25–50 lbs
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
