Out and About Friday 16th February

Out and About 16th February.

Ruth and myself have 19th chefs out workking, we are hoping there is a turn in the next week and more relief jobs will be registered.

If interested in doing relief work please email ruth@chefsinscotland.co.uk or jojo@chefsinscotland.co.uk please include up to date CV, reference details and hygiene certificates.

Priority of the work will go to the chefs better known to CIS until there is a steady flow of work coming in.

Here are a few chefs we have out just now

Scott Maciejewski is currently working at Knipoch Hotel near Oban, Scott has been doing relief work with CIS on and off for a few years now. Scott last year speant most of his time at The Kinloch Lodge Hotel in Skye where he will be returning for 2024 season, he did a couple of short stints at the Boat Inn in Aboyne at the start of this year also. A great chef with excellent feedback.

Fraser Dingwall he is at the Portree Hotel, he has been lucky enough to be kept busy since starting back with CIS last year his first outing being The Oyster Inn in Connell, Portree Hotel, The Dunavon Hotel, Howies in Edinburgh and back in Skye. He tends to get asked back which says a lot its self. Keep up the good work Fraser and hopefully this season will be another busy one 😊

Colin Thomson is currently at The Bridge Hotel in Buttermere this is Colin’s 2nd time being there the last time was 2021 Colin also has spent a lot of time at The Mackays hotel in Wick, last years seen him at The Bothy Bistro in Burghead, Toravaig House, Glencoe Inn and here in Moffat at The Moffat House Hotel.

Jamie Marshall moved up from Cornwall to Alexandria and is currently on relief at Thainstone House. Jamie is a solid, hard working chef who has completed jobs for us at Loch Fyne, Salutation in Perth, Loch Fyne again and Skeabost, Isle of Skye

David McMillan currently working at Killin Hotel as relief Head Chef, previous job include The Pickled Haggis and Cabarfeidh, Stornoway

Thanks once again to ALL our chefs for your hard work, patience and support 🙂
