Out and About Friday 1st October 2021

We still have a good number of chefs out holding at 46, and 14 relief jobs confirmed for the week so far.

There are a few red ones on my list which means I am either waiting to hear back from the chef or the hotel.

There are still jobs coming in 3 and 4 by the day.

Unfortunately, we are not able to fill all the jobs on the relief list, but we do try our very best to do so.

We hope to get a few more chefs becoming available with furlough finishing as of yesterday, lets wait and see what the next week brings.

If you are not registered with us and would like to do so for relief work or permanent work please email over your CV to jojo@chefsinscotland.co.uk along with contactable work references.

Here are a few chefs we have out at the moment.

Robert McHugh is just finishing his stint at Airds where he has got on brilliantly, he has taken a permanent position at Gleneagles.

Mark Shaw is still working away at Altskeith but was able to squeeze in some shifts at Monachlye Mhor also mid week.

Extensions – Richard Grandison and Steven Hill have both been asked to stay on with Cala Hotels in Stornoway. Both are new to CIS and both are getting on really well (thanks guys)

Stuart Agnew is at The Kincraig Hotel in Invergordon.

Ally Elder has just started his stint at Coul House in Contin.

Ross Hunter finished his first stint at Roxburghe Hotel after being extended and has headed to Nevis Bank Inn in Fort William.

Glyn Council is enjoying Selkirk Arms Hotel and has extended his stay.

Lawrence Hoy made his way up to Western Isles in Tobermory and is settling in with the team.

Thanks to you ALL for your support and hard work, we really do appreciate it.

Take care and stay safe xx
