Job Summary

Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items according to recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment
Support the team in meal assembly, plating, and presentation
Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to deliver efficient service during busy periods
Assist in stock control, including receiving deliveries and storing ingredients appropriately
Contribute ideas for menu development and presentation enhancements Skills
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting
Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Knowledge of meal preparation techniques across various cuisines is desirable
Previous restaurant or catering experience is necessary
Ability to serve guests courteously when required during service periods
Experience in a fast paced restaurant environment
