| Job description: | Job Overview We are seeking to recruit a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering innovative catering within our two outlets; a busy Coffee Shop, and our Heilan Scran Takeaway. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in high volume hospitality, with a passion for food preparation and kitchen management. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality, while fostering a positive team environment.
- Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production. - Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences. - Supervise food preparation processes to maintain consistency and quality in every dish served. - Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment. - Collaborate with Food & Beverage management to optimise kitchen operations and enhance overall guest satisfaction. - Train and mentor kitchen staff, promoting professional development and teamwork within each department. - Monitor inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed to ensure seamless kitchen operations. - Assist in budgeting and cost control measures to maximise profitability without compromising quality.
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting. - Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production. - Excellent communication and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. - Exceptional culinary skills with a creative approach to menu development and presentation. - Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. - Strong organisational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. - A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding dining experiences to guests. |
